portrait of Thomas JeffersonEach year, on the Fourth of July.  I read our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.  Last year I read my passport for the first time and wrote about it. “When We Leave the Home of the Brave,” is an essay about the inherent freedom to travel.  You can read the essay here on LinkedIn and it also appears as a chapter in my book, Getting to Next.  Maybe it is the lawyer in me or maybe it is just my profound respect for our freedoms.  In any event, each year as I read the documents, I find something I haven’t seen before, even after all these years.
